YRA is a luxury swim and resortwear brand rooted in heritage, artistry, and culture. Inspired by a family legacy of tailoring that began in the 1950s, YRA is the modern evolution of craftsmanship passed down through generations — beginning with my grandmother, a seamstress who created custom garments with precision, pride, and love. Today, this tradition lives on through our family of artisans, including a renowned artist and knitwear manufacturer, continuing a legacy of thoughtful design and generational skill.

YRA was created to offer women more than just swimwear — it offers a feeling. Every collection is a curated expression of art, nostalgia, and identity. My personal upbringing was a rich blend of contrasts: traditional craftsmanship and the bold spirit of early 2000s hip-hop culture. Both worlds shaped my vision. They taught me the value of storytelling through design — the importance of honoring where you come from while creating for the world you want to see.

Each YRA garment is designed in Toronto and produced by a women-led, ethical factory in Brazil, where expert craftsmanship, fair wages, and sustainable practices come first.

Italian Fabrics – Carvico

  • Vita®
    Composition: 78% Regenerated Polyamide (ECONYL®), 22% Elastane
    A regenerated nylon made from post-consumer waste like fishing nets. Known for its silky touch, muscle control, and twice the resistance to chlorine, oils, and sun exposure.

  • Beverly®
    Composition: 75% Polyamide, 25% Elastane
    Lightweight with a matte finish, Beverly is soft yet structured, ideal for minimal, high-luxury silhouettes.

  • Sumatra®
    Composition: 80% Nylon, 20% Elastane
    A technical fabric with a buttery, compact feel. Offers high opacity, excellent stretch, and a subtle sheen for a modern sculpted look.

Brazilian Fabrics

  • Light CO₂®
    Composition: 90% Polyamide, 10% Elastane
    A biodegradable, breathable, UV-protective (UPF 50+) textile made with AMNI® Soul Eco technology. Delivers exceptional softness with environmental responsibility.

  • Chloe®
    Composition: 85% Polyamide, 15% Elastane
    Known for its elegant drape and smooth touch, Chloe is a luxurious, durable fabric that blurs the line between swimwear and resortwear.

All fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, ensuring they are free of harmful chemicals and safe for both skin and the planet.

Signature Crystal Hardware

Every detail counts. Our signature swimwear is adorned with custom-designed crystal hardware, made in Montréal using genuine Czech Preciosa® crystals. These pieces are water-safe, tarnish-resistant, and engineered for longevity — adding a jewelry-like brilliance to every garment.
